When everyone in the courtroom including Tywin Lannister, Jaime Lannister, Cersei, Margaery are in anticipation of what will be the final verdict, Tyrion receives a shock as he comes across Shae giving her statement against him. 1. The Mountain and the Viper (Season 4, Episode 8)

Adding to the twist and class of Season 4, this episode is all about Tyrion’s combat by trial where Oberyn has offered to fight on his behalf. Oberyn had secured a soft corner in everyone’s heart but to the shock of everyone, he lost the trial by combat against the fierce Mountain who crushed his skill. The scene was heartbreaking for many, as the main motive of Oberyn was to take revenge of her sister’s rape and murder but his lack of concentration at the right time saw the Mountain as the winning knight as he kills Oberyn. In this episode,  It also came to the attention of Daenerys that how Jorah Andal had proved to be a spy and reported about Daenerys’ activities to Varys.

  1. The Lion and the Rose (Season 4, Episode 2)

IMDB Rating – 9.7

Why are GOT weddings so ‘dreadful’? This question would come in everyone’s mind when it comes to watching the Purple wedding. The unexpected thing here was that unlike every other season, there was a major character dying in just the second episode. Even if you hated Joffrey as for the evil character he was, you would have definitely felt for him as his eyes popped out and the helpless look on Cersei’s face of not being able to do anything. This is the episode where the Tyrion gains the spotlight suddenly and Tommen is to be announced as the new king. The death of Joffrey, however, pleased the majority in general.  Indeed, this episode comes a long way in making this show one of the best American TV Series!

  1. The Rains of Castamere (Season 3, Episode 9)

IMDB Rating – 9.9

The Rains of Castamere, also known as the Red Wedding came as the next bigger shock than the death of Ned Stark or from anything before this episode. Robb and Catelyn were one of the most loved characters and it was so heartbreaking to see both of them crumble to the ground after being betrayed by Walder Frey and his army. The army of Walder Frey lodged crossbows into every Stark present in the room. It is one of the most sickening sequences of the whole series. This is and will be one of the biggest shocks of Game of Thrones which is till date difficult to digest. Robb was such a gentleman and seeing him die so soon was really a shock.

We also see Jon Snow kill a white walker with Valyrian steel sword, giving us a conclusion of how the white walkers can be tackled with both, the dragon glass and Valyrian steel. The whole combat was very exciting and thrilling as for a moment everybody thought Jon might just lose this. One more 9.9 rated episode. 1. The Winds of Winter (Season 6, Episode 10)

IMDB – 9.9

This is the episode where the ultimate revenge of Cersei unfolds! Cersei defying all odds and coming out victorious as one of the cleverest characters of Game Of Thrones. She delivered what he had promised at the Sept, all about her revenge. This, without any doubt, is one of the best episodes of Game of Thrones as this is not the only thing that happens this episode as Cersei blows up the whole Sept, we see Arya as an assassin, using the skills of learning to be faceless, she assassinates Walder Frey, taking revenge of the death of her brother, Robb and mother, Catelyn Stark. The Audience went in absolute praise and this sequence was worth a thousand whistles as justice got served to Walder Frey. The episode had everything, thrill, action and emotions. This is where it all makes sense!

  1. Battle of the Bastards (Season 6, Episode 9) – The best episode of the best American TV series ever!

IMDB – 9.9

Receiving more than 1,59,000 votes on IMDB and still standing tall on 9.9 rating, this episode unfolds the ultimate battle of the bastards! This is the best series when it comes to having quality episodes. The battle between Jon Snow and Ramsey Snow, who has already been crowned as a Bolton. This episode was a movie in itself, let along being a episode. Jon Snow’s army against the Boltons was one of the most anticipated moment since a long time as Jon Snow seeks revenge from Ramsey and also the control over Winterfell. It comes as a shocker when Rickon dies early in the episode and Jon Snow’s army is dominated completely by the Boltons who spread and cover Jon’s army from all the sides.

Then comes Littlefinger’s army with the help of Sansa as they capture Ramsey and finish his army. To the excitement of everyone, Ramsey gets eaten up by his own dogs, marking the end of one of another evil character. I don’t expect a more perfect battle than this battle. Make that 4 9.9 Rated Episodes! Even the haters must agree now, this is indeed THE BEST American TV Series ever!
